AFSCME Council 63 Director Steve Tully Named to Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill’s Transition Team on Affordable Healthcare

Trenton, NJ — In a significant recognition of labor's voice in state policy, Steve Tully, Executive Director of AFSCME New Jersey Council 63, has been appointed to the “Affordable Healthcare: Addressing Washington’s Medicaid Cuts” Action Team under Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s transition initiative.

Tully has been an outspoken advocate for accountability, transparency, and affordability in health care for the 20,000 public service workers AFSCME represents in New Jersey. He has been at the forefront of the fight to reform the State Health Benefits Plan and to protect public services that are threatened by Medicaid cuts.
