This session will give you a practical understanding of the Secretary-Treasurer’s role and the critical responsibilities that keep a local union financially strong. Topics will include essential financial functions such as depositing and tracking funds, reconciling bank statements, and completing required IRS filings. All core duties that ensure accountability, transparency, and long-term stability.

Participants will also explore the financial oversight roles of the President and Executive Board, including approving expenses, setting financial policies, and monitoring the overall financial health of the local. This training is ideal for union leaders who want a clearer understanding of how financial decisions are made and how to make them responsibly.
